Tickets with commemorative balls will be available at 2017 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC™ 2nd round Tokyo pool
February 17, 2017
(will be handed out in a special case)
Authorized seal will be put on the upper part of the commemorative ball
Special tickets with perks, commemorative balls which were actually used in the 2009 and 2013 tournaments, will be available for purchase at the 2nd round games in Tokyo pool (March 12, 14 and 15). Authorized seals by WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC INC. are put on commemorative balls, and related information such as games, pitchers and hitters can be searched at the special page MLB Authentication.
A ball Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched in the 2nd round game where Japan won against Korea in 2009 and a foul ball Hayato Sakamoto hit in the semifinal game where Japan was defeated by Puerto Rico in 2013 are among the commemorative balls.
Please enjoy games while touching used WBC balls which are said to be more slippery than official balls used in professional baseball in Japan.
※Commemorative balls include the ones used at various locations of the world in games Japan didn't play.
※You can not choose a ball you exchange with a ticket. Staff will give the balls randomly at the exchange window on the game day.
