Born in April 12, 1994

Career Osaka Toin High school
  2013 Hanshin Tigers

Product of Koshien who, during high school, won championships at Koshien both in the spring and the summer in the same year. He achieved double-digit wins for three years in a row after graduating from high school. He ended up with seven wins last season, but his talent is guaranteed.

He has long been carrying the national flag on his shoulders, participated as a national team member in AA World Championship when he was in his third year in junior high school, pitched in 4 games of AAA World Championship with a good result of a 1.11 ERA over 24 1/3 innings and selected for "All-Star team". He was also selected for the best annual player with 18 years of age or less in 2012.

He was selected for the first time for SAMURAI JAPAN Top Team in All-Star Seires in November, 2014, showed impressive pitching in Game 1 with 1 hit, no runs and 3 strikeouts over 2 innings. He pitched as a starter in Game 4 with 5 hits and 5 strikeouts over 4 innings, but gave up 4 runs including a three-run homer leaving problems to solve, but was selected for the following All-Euro Game in March, 2015. He withdrew from participating in Premier 12 in October the same year because of shoulder inflammation feeling regrets, but pitched in warm-up games against the Netherlands and Mexico last November. He gave up runs allowed, but manager Kokubo chose him for a WBC member this time, expecting a lot from this man of big caliber.

This year he kept pitching perfectly in simulated games during the spring camp and showed the pitching he reinvented. He is ready. Otani is absent, but Fujinami who is his rival and turned professional the same year will dominate the world.
